Personalization of Services and Personal Robots in the Coming Industrial Revolution

Personal robots(PR) will provide services at each house, programming computer becomes low-tech, the new giant to replace Microsoft is one company that produce the OS for every personal robots, the entire PC industrial sector will be replaced by PR industrial sector. All these will be consequences of the next industrial revolution. The next industrial revolution will give birth to a new industrial called Cognitive Industry of which the basis is Cognitive Engineering. The theoretical basis for cognitive engineering and cognitive industry is Computational Verb Theory. The blueprint of cognitive industry in the next fifty years is presented in this paper. The cognitive industry consists of a PR sector, which is as big as today’s automobile industry plus PC industry, and an OS sector, which is as big as Microsoft plus Google. Two key technologies for the coming industrial revolution are programming in natural languages and robot body manufacture. While the latter is an evolution from the current industrial sectors, the former is a revolution that will reshape human history in the following aspects. First, it will merge the virtual world with the real world. Second, it will initialize the human-machine co-evolution, which will lead to the next to the next industrial revolution. Third, it will enable the researches of human minds based on the measurements of different kinds of variables of human minds.
