How safe is nanotechnology?
Medical nanobots fixing blood cells. They may seem friendly but concern over safety risks linger. Last week in Parliament the Prime Minister was heard calling for more graduates in nanotechnology.

Antioxidant Skin Care Products Guide – are Your Skin Care Products Safe?
May 11, 2010 by AboutNanoWires.com · Leave a Comment
Most antioxidants skin care products contain synthetic vitamin E. An antioxidant skin care product is important, as it prevents free radical damage. But, the best ones can actually repair some of the damage that has already occurred. Those are the ones to look for.
Sunscreen – Should We Really Use It?
Free radical damage is primarily due to UV radiation. That’s why sunscreens are so commonly recommended, since free radical damage can lead to cancer. But, experts now advise that the use of sunscreen alone does not provide adequate protection from UV radiation. An antioxidant skin care product can help.
Are You Vitamin D Deprived?
In addition, dermatologists do not recommend the daily use of sunscreen, because the chemicals inhibit the body’s ability to produce vitamin D. In the most recent surveys, there were an increased number of elderly people with vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D, along with calcium and other minerals are necessary to prevent osteoporosis and other conditions associated with aging.
What Can You Use Instead of Sunscreen?
So, when looking for good antioxidants skin care products, avoid the ones that contain sun screening chemicals. It can be difficult to identify because of the chemical names of these ingredients, but if something has an SPF rating, then it’s got a sunscreen in it.
For the best antioxidant skin care, look for coenzyme Q10. Choose a manufacturer that uses nanotechnology in order to get the best adsorption. COQ10 is not one of the antioxidants skin care products commonly contain, because the manufacturer has to pay more for it. The result is you may pay a cheap price for something that does not work. Frankly, most skin care products on the market are close to worthless and can be harmful to your skin. Get the right natural ingredients and you will get real satisfying results.
What is H-EQ10?
Those companies that do include it may only include a very small amount. You can tell by how far down it is on the list of ingredients. The best antioxidant skin care cream combines COQ10 with natural vitamin E in a nano-emulsion form. It’s called H-EQ10.
In clinical studies, H-EQ10 was shown to provide protection from UVA radiation. It scientific studies, it has been shown to counteract free radical damage that has already occurred. It also increases collagen and elastin product. That’s important if you are over the age of 30.
Effective Ingredients for Proper Results
Some other antioxidants skin care products don’t usually contain include honey, kelp, brown algae, olive oil and an extract from sheep’s wool. You may have heard honey is recommended for skincare, but you might not have thought it was an antioxidant skin care product. Scientists have shown that it is a very active antioxidant, as well as an antiseptic.
Plants & Sheep Wool Extract for Skin Care?
Kelp, algae and other plants contain compounds known as bioflavonoids. These protect the plant from UV radiation. They can do the same thing for us.
The sheep’s wool extract is a newly created ingredient for antioxidant skin care. It primarily acts as a protein, nourishing and moisturizing damaged skin cells. But it has also been shown to be one of the most effective antioxidants skin care products can contain.
Some people suggest vitamin C for antioxidant skin care, but the vitamin is more important to the deepest of the skin’s levels. Applying it to the epidermis is not likely to have any effect.
These are not all of the antioxidants skin care products can contain, just some of the more interesting ones. I recommend this site for more information: www.AHealthyRadiantSkin.com. Hopefully, this skin care guide will help you protect your skin’s health for life.

Safe Cosmetics for Younger Looking Skin
May 10, 2010 by AboutNanoWires.com · Leave a Comment
Cosmetics for younger looking skin are all over the stores and highly advertised on TV. Do they work? Are they safe to put on your skin? Probably not. But there are effective skin care products for younger looking skin. I’m going to show you what ingredients to look for and those to avoid. Also here are a few tips on how to keep skin young looking.
1. Diet
There are several steps that you can take to keep skin young looking. Focusing on your overall health and well-being is a good place to start. Your diet should include enough protein, omega-3 fatty acids (fish oil is a good choice) and basic vitamins like A, C and E. A good source for natural supplements that I found is at: healthybodysupplements.com. These are needed for the body to build new skin-cells and for the sebaceous glands to produce sebum, the skin’s natural moisturizer. Drink plenty of purified water because it helps to flush toxins from the body, some of which are secreted through perspiration. A good source that I found for this is at cleanwaterpure.com. Purified water doesn’t necessarily come bottled, it can be contaminated. Using a good water filter both in the shower and kitchen is essential for good health.
2. Sleep
Get plenty of sleep and before you go to bed, apply one of the better skin care products for younger looking skin. Natural rejuvenation processes go on while you are sleeping. New cells are created and old ones slough off. If you don’t get enough sleep, you’ll have bags and dark circles under your eyes. Most of the cosmetics for younger looking skin are simply designed to “cover-up” problems like those.
3. Cleansing Skin
In order to keep skin young looking, you should use gentle cleansers, not exfoliants, on a daily basis. Look for all natural ones that contain tea tree oil, manuka honey or orange oil, if you need something a little “stronger”. Colloidal oatmeal makes a good safe scrub and it is also soothing. Your goal in cleansing is to remove dirt, dead cells and excessive oils, without causing redness or irritation.
4. Use NO Synthetics or Artificial Preservatives
If you use cosmetics for younger looking skin, be sure that they do not contain artificial preservatives or other additives. Try to find out if the dyes included in your makeup are safe and lead-free. The company you choose should have online access revealing the ingredients in the skin care products. One such company I found does this, see author box for source. Safety advocates have found lead in everything from hair dye to lipstick. Lead is absorbed through the dermal layers (skin) and can cause health problems in later life.
The best skin care products for younger looking skin are all free of artificial preservatives and additives, because those things are the leading causes of adverse reactions. If you really want to keep skin young looking, you need to avoid ingredients that can cause adverse reactions.
5. Use NO Petroleum By Products
In addition to avoiding the artificial additives, avoid products that contain petrolatum, paraffin and mineral oil. Those ingredients are not moisturizing. They clog the pores and inhibit the natural rejuvenation processes.
Best Ingredients for Beautiful Skin
The best skin care products for younger looking skin support and stimulate rejuvenation. The ingredients to look for include Cynergy TK, Nanolipobelle Heq10 and Wakame kelp.
Cynergy TK is a protein-based solution that has been shown to increase production of new cells and fibers. Heq10 is a special formulation of CoQ10 and vitamin E that was created using nanotechnology, so that the solution will penetrate deeply. Wakame kelp prevents the break down of hyaluronic acid, one of the skin’s most important components.
Those are the keys to keep skin young looking, because they address the primary causes of an aged appearance, which are decreased collagen production, lower levels of hyaluronic acid and free radical damage.
If you follow these recommendations and only use the safest cosmetics for younger looking skin, you should be able to keep skin young looking for many years to come. Your face doesn’t have to tell your age. – Margaret Bell
